Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently not in network with any insurance companies. Many insurance companies reimburse either partially or fully for therapy sessions. If you’re a therapy client and your insurance plan includes mental health/behavioral health services, I can provide you with monthly super bills to submit for reimbursement. Additionally, I offer a limited number of need-based sliding scale spots and would be glad to discuss whether this option is right for you.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’ve been wondering about and researching therapy, that might mean the time is right for you to start. You don’t have to have a diagnosis or a specific problem in order to benefit from therapy. Anyone can benefit from having a safe, non-judgmental space that is just for them and about them.
What can I expect from a therapy session?
I have a collaborative approach to working with clients. During our first few sessions, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy and what I can offer to help you in achieving your goals. I’ll typically start each session by asking what you need from the session that day. We can collaborate on this process too- if you’re unsure, I may suggest topics related to your therapy goals and/or other topics we’ve discussed in the past. You get to choose how to use our time together, and my suggestions and questions are always optional.
